Langdon Hills was the final race of the 2011 Mud Sweat & Gears Series and saw some great results for CYCC. First mention and congratulations must go to Ollie Ford who managed secure a 3rd place ion the days U12 race and a series 3rd to go with it.
It was amazing to see nearly half of the field in the Juvenile Youth Catagory (U14) were CYCC members. The course at Langdon Hills is always tough with plenty of big climbs and fast technical decents. This year was no exception with a new section added giving yet more climb, and the racing was a fierce as ever.
Jordan Beighton managed to secure a third place followed by Joe Pitt & Harvey Jennings in 4th & 5th. Alex Steward came in a very reaspectable 8th.
Alistair Russell who has run the MSG series to date has just announced he is emigrating to Australia, Langdon Hills was his last event. On behalf of the club, I thank him for organising this enjoyable series and wish him well for the future.
