The excellent Shaftsbury CC evening 10 mile time trial series starts this Wednesday April 13th.
A great way of training and measuring your fitness throughout the season for 12 years and upwards, a time trial is just you against the clock with riders setting off alone (I'm pretty sure children may be accompanied) at 1 minute intervals. Road bike needed.
Shaftsbury CC are an historic and very friendly cycling club based at Mountnessing Village Hall. Ride out to the event, sign on, race, go back to the village hall to look at the results and eat cake, then ride home, a perfect evening.
You can pre-enter on line, or just turn up on the evening. Racing begins at 18.45 this Wednesday but as the evenings get lighter the start goes back to 19.30. Last race of the season on September 7th. For more details visit: http://questronics.org.uk/Shaftesbury/ click on Time Trials, then Events.
