The day looked very promising for the start of the Youth and Juvenile races at Thetford on Sunday, the sun was shining, an excellent course which was dry thanks to the sandy soil at Thetford and loads of competitors for the Eastern Regional Championship. Joe Pitt was our sole entry in the Youth section, sadly his race was over at the very start after he was clipped by another rider and took a heavy fall at the start, you can see from the picture above he was extremely "lucky" to walk away with just cuts and bruises. Best wishes Joe, hope to see you back on your bike soon.
Jordan managed to avoid the carnage at the start and was sitting in third place after lap one only to have his chain break during lap 2, someone should have very serious words with his bike mechanic.....
Olly Ford did manage to cross the finishing line having survived the start, coming in in a very respectable 8th place.

There was a large field with some very strondg riders in the U12 race in which the club was represented by Jake Wood and Fern Beighton. Jake had a very good ride completing all of the 6 laps and coming in in 9th overall with Fern coming in in 12th place in the girls race.
