After the disappointment of the Velodrome meeting being cancelled due to frost last weekend, we chose to ride in more usual surroundings this weekend, a rather muddy Writtle. Christmas fancy dress was the order of the day as we started off riding through Hylands and on towards Highwood. It was then back to Hylands for a festive race.
The Rothmann girls each headed a team of riders who rode a section of single track before collecting an item of santas costume to bring back to their captain. Once "Santa Rothmann" was fully attired, the girls raced the final lap. In the end, Danni's team was victorious.In boy scout fassion, we then had a cook out in Hylands with a bacon baps, plenty of cake , hot chocolate and mulled wine. Thanks to everyone bringing the cake.
